ChiangMai “เชียงใหม่” in Thai, one of the most charming and popular tourist cities in Thailand, is the largest city in the north part and the capital of ancient Lanna kingdom of the land of smile. ChiangMai (meaning "New City” in Thai) was founded in 1296, succeeding the former capital, ChiangMai. This is the land of misty mountains and colorful hill tribes, a playground for traveler all over the world, a paradise for shoppers and adventurer. Its location locates in a verdant valley on the banks of the Ping River, a major tributary of the Chaophraya River. Today it is a place where past and the present merge between modern buildings and ancient temples. It’s nearly 700 kilometers away from Bangkok and the highest mountain in the country, Doi Inthanon, also is situated here.
Day I: ChiangMai Airport – Hotel
8.30 PM: ‘Sawasdeeka’ You all are warmly welcomed by Thai Guide at the airport and take you to have Dinner and transfer to the hotel for having a sweet dream in the capital of Lanna.
Day II: Doi Suthep – Bhubing Royal Palace – Kruba Sriwichai – ChiangMai Museum - 7 summits Temple - Night Bazaar
8.00 AM: A tour guide picks you up from the hotel and leads to the first visit today is;
Kruba Sriwichai: Kruba Sriwichai (ครูบาศรีวิชัย) was a Thai Buddhist monk born in 1878 and best known for the building of many temples during his life-time. His goodness could hardly fade away from northern people' minds and especially for his dedicated construction and renovation works.
After spending time here for a while, we move further to the Suthep mountainous temple
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, in Thai “วัดพระธาตุดอยสุเทพ” is a theravada Buddhist temple (Wat) in ChiangMai. The temple is often referred according to mountain name the temple itself located. It is a famous and very sacred site to not only local people but also Thai people from all walks of life. The temple is 15 kilometers from the city and situated at an elevation of 1,073 meters. Impressive views of downtown ChiangMai can be viewed from the temple. The temple is said to have been founded in 1383 when the first stupa was built.
The next visit is the the Bhubing Palace which is located on Doi Buak Ha, Muang District. It is the royal winter residence in ChiangMai where the Royal family stays during seasonal visits to the people in the northern part of Thailand. The palace is also the royal residence for state visitors from abroad. Bhubing Palace was built in 1961.
It’s the right time for having lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon, we go further to the ChiangMai national museum; Located in the vicinity of Wat Chet Yot, in the north-western part of ChiangMai. It exhibits the artifacts and history of the ancient Kingdom of Lanna with descriptions both Thai and English. You learn a lot from things displayed inside and have a better understanding about ChiangMai and local people who live here now.
From there it’s the appropriate time to have a look one of the most interesting temples in ChiangMai, 7 summits temple. Wat Chet Yot is a buddhist temple and a centre of pilgrimage who are born in the year of snake. King Tiokarat commissioned the construction of the temple in 1455 CE after sending monks to Bagan in Burma to study the pattern of the Mahabodhi Temple, itself a duplicate of the Mahabodhi of Bodhi Gaya in India , moreover the 8th Buddhist World Council was held at Wat Chet Yot to renew the Tripitaka.
After that it’s time for having Dinner first and shopping later at ChiangMai Night-bazaar; The main venue for shopping in ChiangMai, the night bazaar is a must to visit part of the ChiangMai experience. A few hours spending at the market, then we move back to the hotel.
Day III: Inthanon mountain
8.00 AM: a tour guide picks you up at the hotel and transfer to the highest peak in Thailand which also is the coolest spot. Doi Inthanon;
This mountain is an ultra prominent peak known as in the past Doi Luang, meaning the 'crow's pond top. Doi Inthanon rises to 2,565 meters above medium sea level. This altitude implies that temperatures on Doi Inthanon are refreshingly brisk all year round and regularly decrease below freezing during the winter time (October – February). Doi Inthanon offer visitors besides its natural beauty, visitors can research the Royal Project, which is right near the rangers station. Near the top of Doi Inthanon, there are 2 Chedis dedicated to The Royal Majesties, the King and Queen. We also have Lunch closed to the Royal project.
In the afternoon after exploring interesting things on the Doi, we get down the hill and get going to enjoy ChiangMai-Lanna traditional Dinner and performance show at the old ChiangMai Cultural Centre.
After Dinner and show, if your energy still not fade away, we recommend you to shop around the local night market, Wua Lai Walking Street, which has abundance to sell, especially local handicrafts made of silver, aluminium, woods and many more made by ChiangMai local people.
Day4: PhraSingh Temple- ChediLuang Temple- ChiangMan Temple- ChiangMai Airport
9.00 AM: After having breakfast at the hotel, we have to check out and transfer to one of the most beautiful and attractive temples in ChiangMai, Wat PhraSingh; a fine example of a classic Lanna temples, the temple known as the temple of the Lion Buddha with hundreds of monks and novices living inside. The Wat Phra Singh houses several revered and very old Buddha images. Refer to the legend said that Wat Phra Singh dates back to the 14th century.
And not too far from Wat PhraSingh, there is another very important temple which is regarded as the oldest monastery in ChiangMai; Wat ChiangMan;
Wat ChiangMan holds some important Buddhist images including a famous crystal Buddha. Construction on the temple started in 1306 CE although several parts were added in later reigns. The temple complex has lots of different styles of architecture side by side.
Then we have the last lunch together at the local delicious restaurant before going on to the last temple for the trip; Wat ChediLuang; Wat ChediLuang's massive chedi (pagoda) was built approximately between 1385 and 1402 CE, during the reign of King Saen Muang Ma, 7th ruler of the Mengrai dynasty. At its summit, the chedi measured 60 metres at the square base and 80 metres in height and was once housed the Emerald Buddha, Thailand's most sacred buddha image.
Around 2 O’clock in the afternoon we transfer you to the ChiangMai Airport for safe back home. Good bye ChiangMai. “Sawasdeeka”

Recommendations
- Infants or babies are not recommended in traveling with this trip. Kids who are older than 5 years old upwards are suitable to join the tour.
- Regarding accommodation, each room normally stays 2 persons. However, any of you need to stay alone is subject to additional charge.
